Course Description

Course Profile

The field of Cognitive Science is becoming increasingly popular worldwide, and the demand for professional cognitive scientists is growing due to ongoing digitalization, innovation, and the interdisciplinary nature of various sectors in the economy, business, and public institutions. An additional advantage is that the Cognitive Science program is conducted in English, which opens doors to international career opportunities.

Cognitive Science studies allow students to deepen their theoretical knowledge, primarily concerning cognitive processes, their mechanisms, determinants, and modeling, as well as practical knowledge related to medical sciences and the application of modern information technologies. The Cognitive Science program emphasizes expanding students' expertise in neurocognitive sciences, including the development of AI algorithms based on biological mechanisms. This makes it particularly attractive to mathematicians and computer scientists interested in advancing in this field.

Education Requirements

In case of application to second-cycle (MA) studies – the higher education diploma (MA, BA, engineer diploma or equivalent) and transcript of grades obtained during the course of study, entitling a candidate to continue university-level study in country in which the diploma was issued, or original of the certificate confirming graduation from studies and containing information on level, programme and profile of studies, obtained professional title and result defined in words together with statement, in which candidate undertakes to present the original or certified copy of the higher education diploma within 30 days from the day of its issuance, under pain of removal from the list of students
