Course Description

Course Profile

The curriculum covers theoretical and practical aspects of physical therapy methods based on various forms of physical energy occurring in the human environment, such as movement and thermal, mechanical, electrical, light, chemical, and other types of stimuli. Physiotherapy deals with eliminating the repercussions of disease, alleviating disease processes and their effects, and restoring human psychophysical efficiency. The curriculum also includes intra-year work placements during each academic year in physiotherapy and kinesitherapy clinics and hospital wards.

The programme includes such courses as: anatomy, physiology, pathology, biomechanics, kinesiology, physical therapy, neurophysiology, medical biology, manual therapy, orthopaedics, special massage, prosthetics and orthotics, genetic diseases, rehabilitation, clinical physiotherapy, disabled sports, rheumatology, movement education, balneology, spa therapy, functional diagnostics, pharmacology, and many others.

Education Requirements

1. your upper secondary school leaving certificate or diploma which:

is validated (legalised) or affixed with apostille,

gives the right to apply to all types of higher education institutions in the country where it was issued and is equal to the Polish upper secondary school leaving certificate,

a document confirming your right to apply to all types of higher education institutions in your home country - if this is not stated in your secondary school leaving certificate;

2. a valid medical certificate confirming your ability to take up studies;

3. a valid passport.
