Course Description

Course Profile

English Philology is a major in the humanities that provides the opportunity to develop competence in the advanced use of language in various areas of social and professional life.

English is one of the most useful languages in the world. Its proficiency gives you the opportunity to undertake work in a wide variety of fields, as well as to broaden your horizons of thought and get to know a wide range of cultures. The courses in English Philology (second cycle) provide the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge of the linguistics, literature and culture of English-speaking countries as well as the latest philological research. Graduates with academic aspirations can develop their research interests in doctoral school.

Education Requirements

In case of application to second-cycle (MA) studies – the higher education diploma (MA, BA, engineer diploma or equivalent) and transcript of grades obtained during the course of study, entitling a candidate to continue university-level study in country in which the diploma was issued, or original of the certificate confirming graduation from studies and containing information on level, programme and profile of studies, obtained professional title and result defined in words together with statement, in which candidate undertakes to present the original or certified copy of the higher education diploma within 30 days from the day of its issuance, under pain of removal from the list of students
